We want to be a part of your child’s initial years of learning here at First Baptist Weekday Preschool!  It is our goal to provide a secure and loving atmosphere that will allow your child to develop confidence and trust away from the home environment.  The few hours a week spent at preschool allows your child the opportunity to make new friends and acquire social skills while laying a strong foundation for their future educational years.

At FBC Preschool, the happiness of every child is our highest priority.  It is the norm to see us with smiles on our faces in anticipation of greeting and working with your child each day.   We encourage parents to be active participants in the preschool program.

General Information and Policies

Enrollment:  The enrollment of the preschool is limited to one, two, three, and four-year-old children or those who will be one, two, three, or four by September 1.  Certificates of immunization and a copy of your child’s birth certificate are required for registration.

Registration:  Priority in registration will be given to first-come First Baptist families and families of children already enrolled in our program.  All pre-registration will be done through the office of the Preschool Director.  Pre-registration will begin in February for the following fall term.

Registration will be open to the public beginning February 17. Registration forms are available for download here, or may be picked up in the church office Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM as well as the preschool directors office.  Please print out and complete the registration form and return it to the church office.

Fees and Tuition:  The registration fee and materials fee is $75; this is a one time, non-refundable fee for the school year.  Tuition is listed below:

4 year olds          5 days     $110.00/month (must be potty trained)

3 year olds          3 days     $90.00/month (must be potty trained)

2 year olds          2 days     $85.00

MMO                   2 days     $85.00

The preschool offers a discount to families with multiple children in the program.  Early drop off is available each morning starting at 7:45 AM.  A fee will be charged for this service.

Mother's Morning Out (MMO)

Mother’s Morning Out is a childcare program for babies age 1 through 24 months of age.  The program is open to all children in our community on a first come first served basis.

We are committed to providing a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for your child.  It is our desire to create secure and loving relationships between children and teachers.  Through the use of creative materials, music, puzzles and books, your child will have the opportunity to learn and interact with age appropriate peers.

Mother's Morning Out is on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:45 to 11:45.

Time and Schedule:  School begins at 8:45 a.m. and is dismissed at 11:45 a.m.  Our fall term begins the first Tuesday after Labor Day in September, and all school days and holidays will follow the Stephens County School System with the exception of the last day of school.

Food:  Students are served a snack each day.  Children will have an opportunity to provide snacks for their classroom by taking the Super Star Snacker Basket home when it is their scheduled time.  We ask that healthy foods be served.

Open House:  Parents and children will be invited to an open house.

Parent-Teacher Conferences and School Visitation:  Conferences with your child’s teacher are important and necessary so you as parents are aware of what programs are provided in our school, as well as what progress is being made by your child.

Evaluation Reports:  Reports will be sent to parents during the fall and spring seasons.  Reports will be given to students at the end of the school year.

Newsletter:  A newsletter will be sent out once a month to parents informing them of plans for the following month.  This newsletter includes field trips, parties, curriculum, holidays, etc.
