Worship Ministry at FBC

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”   Psalm 150:6

First Baptist Church throughout its rich history has featured a strong emphasis on music in worship as well as in education.  With a heritage steeped in the traditional music and a deep realization of modern worship styles, First Baptist has a well-developed choral program for all ages as well as a skilled praise band that leads in our modern service.  In every service, our music is used in adoration to glorify the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Our 11:00 a.m. Sunday service incorporates traditional worship. Through rich hymns of faith and responsive readings, First Baptist provides a welcoming worship environment that is unique to our community. Our Sanctuary Choir features an anthem each week from a variety of choral worship literature, while our 63 rank Welcker pipe organ leads in our congregational singing of the hymns.

Our 8:30 a.m. modern worship service is named the First Light Service. With the help and talents of our volunteers and staff, First Baptist uses advanced technology and engaging music to provide the modern approach to the worship environment. The leadership from our praise band invites congregational response to sing and hear the promises of scripture through today’s impactful music.
